Jewellery and Appearance
For safety reasons, jewellery should not be worn to school. If your child has recently had their ears pierced and is unable to remove their studs, you must provide tape to securely cover them during PE lessons.
We ask that children come to school looking smart and ready to learn. Make-up, hair glitter, bandannas, decorative shaved patterns and hair colours outside natural shades are not permitted. We will contact parents if there are any concerns.
PE Kit
Children should come to school wearing their PE kit on their designated PE days. PE takes place at least twice a week, and all children are expected to wear the correct kit. Occasionally, additional PE or sporting activities may be arranged, and parents will be given advance notice of these.
Clothing for the Weather
Outdoor play and exercise are important parts of the school day, and children will spend time outside throughout the year, including during colder weather and light rain.
Please ensure that your child comes to school appropriately dressed for the weather, with a warm, waterproof coat, hat and gloves during colder months, and a sun hat in warmer weather.
Support with School Uniform
We expect all children to wear the correct school uniform and will contact parents if there are any concerns.
We understand that the cost of school uniform can sometimes be difficult for families. If you need support, please contact the school office, or Mrs Robertson in confidence. Financial assistance may be available through the Governors' Fund, and we will always do our best to help.
